Ethan & emily
Ethan and Emily have been clients of mine since one of my very first photo shoots. Emily signed up for a mini session I was doing that raised money for my son's public school. A couple of months later she reached out asking if I wanted to photograph her elopement in Southport and I nearly squealed with excitement. I love Southport and I loved Emily and her sweet family and could not have been more excited.
Emily and Ethan only wanted their very close family and the elopement and wanted to keep it very simple, casual and coastal. They got ready at the adorable Inn at Southport. For her first look, Emily opted to do one with her dad and oh my gosh, his reaction to seeing his daughter was the sweetest. He got teary eyed, I got teary eyed, everyone got teary eyed! After some family portraits with Ethans family, we headed down to the community dock for the ceremony. The long winding pathway to the gazebo over the water meant Ethan had to wait for a few moments in anticipation of seeing his bride for the first time and she and her dad made their way down the boardwalk. The smile he had when he saw her for the first time though is something I will never forget.
After the ceremony we took a few family photos and Emily's dad went to get his blue mustang to be used in some portraits at the Inn. Those ended up being some of my favorites because Ethan and Emily let loose and had a bit of fun with it. They gave off vintage Hollywood vibes and I loved every minute of it!
